Precision, Speed, and Flexibility in One System

The MIRcat builds upon the successful MIRcat laser, a proven system that uses multiple quantum cascade lasers. This new version brings some exciting improvements! It offers incredibly fast tuning, more consistent spectral results, better heat control, and options for even longer wavelengths. The MIRcat is all contained in one box, fully automatic, and incredibly flexible. You can configure it at the factory with up to four laser modules (pulsed or continuous wave/pulsed), and easily add or upgrade modules later. The MIRcat gives you a wide tuning range, nearly 1000 cm-1 (more than 6 µm), and covers wavelengths up to 13 µm. Plus, it delivers top-of-the-line performance: peak tuning speeds exceeding 30,000 cm-1 per second, up to 1 Watt of power, and a perfect beam shape for efficient fiber coupling. A new, super-precise tuning system and quieter electronics give you wavelength stability as good as < 0.1 cm-1 and incredibly low noise.
