We as a company, take immense pride in being a key catalyst in fuelling our nation's technical and research capabilities and building its manufacturing strength. Since its inception in 1988, Laser Science has introduced India and the Indian research community, to various 'first-time' technologies.

In the year 1989, Laser Science introduced a high power picosecond Nd:YAG laser at BARC in Mumbai and an Excimer laser for PLD applications at the Pune University. This marked the beginning of our several 'firsts' in the coming years.

In 1991, we introduced the sub-picosecond system and in 1998, the 0.5TW femtosecond laser system for high field science studies, both at TIFR, Mumbai.

2001 saw the introduction of the Femtosecond fiber laser (IMRA) for Optical communication at TIFR, Tunable fs Ti:Sa laser system ( Mira + Verdi) for MPE at BHU, Varanasi and Excimer laser based beam delivery system for micromachining at BARC Mumbai. From 2003 onwards, every year we brought various new technology to Indian labs, some of which are:

  • Diode pumped ns laser system ( DIVA II) for LIDAR studies at LEOS Bangalore,
  • Ultrafast KHz amplifier fs laser system for Quantum Computing at TIFR Mumbai,
  • 250 KHz Regenerative Amplifer system at TIFR Mumbai,
  • High power DPSS Green Laser ( 18W) for atmospheric studies at IRDE Dehradun,
  • High energy Oscillator> 200nJ, 5.5 MHz at MAHE Manipal,
  • Supercontinuum Laser for OCT application at CAT Indore,
  • Atomic Layer Deposition System for material research at CAT Indore & IISc Bangalore,
  • Low Temperature SNOM with CFM and STM system at IIT Mumbai,
  • THz Spectroscopy Kit at IIT Bhubaneshwar,
  • <25fs Amplifier system at TIFR Mumbai, etc.
